The new generation Kia Seltos has been introduced with major changes inside and out, although the powertrain options remain the same as before
Kia India has officially announced the prices of the new generation Seltos. Its starting ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 10.99 lakh, while the price of the top variant goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh. Its production has started at the Kia plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This SUV is based on the global K3 platform, which provides a stronger structure and better driving experience than before.
Because of this new platform, the security level has also become better than before. Features like six airbags, ABS, hill-start assist and electronic stability control are provided as standard in all variants. Level-2 ADAS with 21 autonomous features is also available in the top variants.
Talking about design, Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy has been adopted in the new Seltos. The 4,460 mm length, wider stance and longer wheelbase give it better road presence and more cabin space. It has a digital tiger face, segment-first automatic flush door handles, ice cube LED projector headlamps and newly designed alloy wheels, which have been inspired by the Global Telluride.

Inside the cabin, Kia has taken a big step forward in terms of technology and premium quality. It gets a segment-leading 75.18 cm panoramic display, in which the infotainment and driver display are integrated together. Along with this, premium Bose’s 8-speaker sound system and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support is also provided.
Depending on the variant, it gets ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, 10-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function, relaxation mode and welcome retract feature. Engine options remain three as before, including 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter CRDi diesel engine.
Transmission options include manual, iMT, IVT, DCT and torque converter automatic. The new Seltos is offered in four main trims HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX/X-Line with different option packs that further enhance the comfort, premium features, ADAS and sporty design.
