The new KTM RC 160 is powered by the same 164.2 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that also powers the 160 Duke and produces 18.73 bhp of power and 15.5 Nm of torque.
KTM India has launched its new faired sportbike RC 160 in the Indian market. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 1.85 lakh. Talking about design, the styling of KTM RC 160 is largely similar to the RC 200 and RC 390. For this reason, despite the low engine capacity, the bike looks big and powerful. This is a big plus point for customers who want the look of a big bike at an affordable price.
The RC 160 is built on a steel trellis frame and uses the same hardware as the RC 200 and RC 390. For suspension, 37mm USD front forks have been provided at the front and mono-shock at the rear. For braking, the bike has 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, with which dual-channel ABS and supermoto mode is also provided.
The bike has 17-inch alloy wheels on both sides, which are fitted with 110 section tires at the front and 140 section tires at the rear. Talking about the features, it has all-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, clip-on handlebar and 13.75 liter fuel tank. Currently, RC 160 has been launched in only one color option, but new colors can be added in the future.
Talking about the engine, the KTM RC 160 has a 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of 18.73 bhp and torque of 15.5 Nm. This engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox, which also has assist and slipper clutch. According to the company, the top speed of this bike is 118 km/hour. In the Indian market, the RC 160 directly competes with the Yamaha R15 V4, which is priced between Rs 1.67 lakh and Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom).
