The new Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0 liter TSI turbo petrol engine that delivers 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque
Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the fourth generation Octavia Rs will officially launch on October 17 and its pre-booking will start from October 6 on the official online portal of the brand. This performance sedan, displayed at the 2025 Auto Expo earlier this year, can be sold in a completely loaded trim in a single variant.
Unlike Standard Octavia, RS is being brought as CBU and Skoda has limited it to only 100 units for the domestic market. The delivery of Sporty Octavia RS will begin on 6 November. The latest Skoda Octavia was launched globally with several cosmetic changes in early 2024. It is available in sedan and estate body types and comes with several powertrain options including petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid and PHEV.
Performance-based octavia RS has triangular air intake, twin exhaust pipes, bucket seats, contrast red stitching with sporty bumper. It has a three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum paddle and trims like RS branding. It is available only with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine, giving a maximum power of 265 PS and peak torque of 370 Nm, which makes it the most powerful production octavia ever.
This engine is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic which delivers power to the front wheels. The speed of 0-100 kmph has been claimed to be achieved in 6.4 seconds and its top speed is 250 km per hour. In addition, several mechanical upgrade are also available, including a sport-tuned suspension setup, which reduces ground clearance by 15 mm, tunded exhaust notes, electronically controlled limited slip differentials, etc.
Skoda has equipped Octavia RS with smart technology and features. The car has a 13-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Android auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. To ensure safety, the RS variant includes adaptive cruise control, 10 airbags and a head-up display. For audio lovers, there is also an alternative premium Canton Audio System, providing a great sound experience.
It is important to note that the new Skoda Octavia will be based on the RS UK version and hence it will not have features like Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). It will be imported from Skoda’s domestic market Czech Republic.
