Tata Altroz has got 5 star ratings in India NCAP crash test with 29.65 out of 32 in adult passenger safety and 49 out of 49 in child passenger safety with 5 star ratings.
Tata Motors’ Ultraz is again in discussion. This car has done well in India’s new crash test. Recently its facelift model has come and got 29.65 out of 32 marks in the adult safety test and 44.90 out of 49 in the safety test of children. Due to these points, Ultraz is now being counted among India’s safest hatchback cars.
Tata Altroz scored a great score at the Adult Safety category. It got 15.55 out of 16 points in the frontal offset test and 14.11 out of 16 in the side impact test. Apart from this, this 5-seater car also passed the side pole impact test. This shows that the car’s body is strong and the Tata company is constantly paying attention to the car’s cabin and safety system.
Altroz has also performed well in terms of children’s safety. This car scored almost full marks in the Test conducted for 18 months and 3-year-old children by putting the ISOFIX seat. In dynamic testing, 23.90 out of 24, CRS installation scored 12 out of 12 and 9 out of 13 in vehicle evaluation. The rear-faceing seat configuration provided good protection to the children in front and side collision. This proves that ultraz is also very safe for children.
Ultraz contains a total of 6 airbags including two front airbags, side airbags and co retain airbags for both the driver and passenger. The seatbelt pre-tensioner and loaded limiter are facing towards the driver, while electronic stability control, pedestrian safety technology and seatbelt reminder are standard in the entire lineup.
Ultraz also has a manual airbag deactivation facility for the forward passenger seat to safely apply child restant. Tested models included pure CNG MT, CRTV S CNG MT and AcMPLICED S DMT variants, whose crash test prototype was valued at 1,474 kg.
India NCAP has made it clear that this 5-star safety rating applies to all variants and fuel options (petrol, diesel and CNG) of the Safety rating. This car also competes with large and expensive cars in terms of security. Tata Motors has made the ultrose one of the safest cars in the segment by making electronic safety features and several airbags standard.
