Prices of GTX and X-Line variants of Kia Carens Clavis EV leaked ahead of launch

Kia Carens Clavis EV will soon be introduced in the Indian market with a 6-seater layout and GT Line and X-Line trims.

Kia India is preparing to expand the lineup of Carens Clavis EV soon. According to the leaked information, information about new variants, seating options and possible prices of many variants has been revealed. The biggest highlight of this update may be the inclusion of a 6-seater configuration. According to the information, this layout will come with captain seats in the second row and will be available from HTX E variant.

Customers will be able to choose 6-seater or 7-seater option as per their need. The special thing is that the 6-seater setup will not be limited to just one battery option, but it can be offered with both the battery packs. According to leaked information, Kia Carens Clavis EV will have the option of 42 kWh standard range battery and 51.4 kWh extended range battery.

Clavis EV has a single electric motor installed at the front, which generates power of 171 PS and torque of 255 Nm. The large 51.4 kWh battery pack has an ARAI certified range of up to 490 km. Whereas the 42 kWh battery pack produces 135 PS power and 255 Nm torque. The ARAI certified range of this version is said to be around 404 km. Front-wheel drive system is provided in both battery options. The standard range battery will be in the entry level variant while the larger battery pack will be offered in the upper variants.

Besides, information about the prices of GT Line and X-Line variants has also been revealed. The GT Line can be offered in GTX and GTX Plus trims and both will only be offered with a 51.4 kWh extended range battery. Their prices are said to be around Rs 22.99 lakh and Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. These variants are expected to have a sportier design and some different styling elements compared to the normal HT variants.

Whereas the price of HTX E standard range variant with 6-seater layout can be around Rs 19.99 lakh, while the extended range HTX E variant can come for around Rs 21.99 lakh. At the top of the lineup will be the X-Line variant which is said to be priced at around Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most expensive model in the Clavis EV range.

According to leaked information, on-road prices could reach around Rs 27 lakh, depending on the warranty package, accessories and charging options. Although complete details of the design changes to the GT Line and X-Line variants have not been revealed yet, they are expected to feature different styling, special trim accents and variant-specific cosmetic updates.
