Renault and Nissan will launch 5 new SUVs in the Indian market

Renault and Nissan are preparing to launch new products to increase their sales in the Indian market.

Renault and Nissan are preparing afresh to strengthen their portfolio in the Indian market. Leveraging their global partnership, both the companies are planning to launch at least five new SUVs in the Indian market by 2027.

1. Renault Duster

First of all, the new generation Renault Duster will be introduced, which has been specially designed for the Indian market. Its design will be more aggressive than the global model and it will have better comfort, connectivity and technology features. The company will launch it with petrol engine options on March 17, while its hybrid version will also hit the market around Diwali.

2.Nissan Tekton

Nissan will also launch its new SUV Tekton in the coming months. This SUV will be based on the new Duster, but its design and identity will be different. Its look will be sharper and bolder and it will have better road presence instead of off-road style. It is expected that it can be launched by the end of April. Apart from this, its hybrid version may also come in the market later.

3. Renault 7-Seater SUV

Apart from this, by the end of 2026, Renault will also bring a new 7-seater SUV, which will be based on the new Duster but will have a different identity in terms of design and features. It can get premium features like ventilated second row seats and three-zone automatic climate control. It can be launched with 6 and 7 seat layouts and is expected to get a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine and a hybrid 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

4. Nissan 7-Seater SUV

A three-row SUV from Nissan based on the same platform may also be launched by the end of 2026 or early 2027. In which different exterior design and some special interior features will be given. It is likely to have features like panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats and powered tailgate.

5. Renault Bridger

Renault is also preparing to launch a sub-4 meter SUV named Bridger, which will compete with SUVs like Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Its design will be boxy and like a real SUV, in which elements like high ground clearance, roof rails and spare wheel on the tailgate can be found. It is likely to get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine which will produce 99 hp power and 160 Nm torque. It can be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and optional CVT and is expected to be launched by the end of 2027.
