Renault Kwid EV is expected to be launched in India in the near future, which will be able to give a driving range of over 220 km

Reno India has recently introduced new models in its domestic lineup, including the facelifted version of the Tribe and the carigar. The French auto giant is planning to expand his portfolio extensively over the next few years and was revealed some time ago, which confirmed the launch of three new models.

The brand will introduce the new duster early next year, as the upcoming 5-seater midsize SUV has already been seen testing several times and will have many similarities with the Nissan SUV. Also, the company can also launch a new 7 seater SUV by the end of next year.

Apart from this, Reno is also developing an A-segment electric vehicle for the local market, but its detailed information has not yet been revealed. After this, the electric version of the Kwid can also be launched, which is already available in global markets as Desia Spring EV. Recently it has been observed during testing on public roads, which is largely similar to the Kwid.

This can also give us a glimpse of the facelifted version of the existing Ice model. There is a more modern grill part in the front part including LED day-time running lights, halogen headlights and possibly the new Reno Corporate logo. In addition, you may also find square wheel arch, y-shaped graphics on tail lamps and an attractive rear bumper.

The cabin has a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multifunctional steering wheel and a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Being an electric car, its front storage capacity in the international market is 35 liters and boot space 308 liters. The Desia Spring EV has an electric motor that produces 44 or 64 hp power depending on the selected variants.

The 26.8 kwh battery pack is capable of giving a driving range of more than 220 km on the WLTP cycle. 11 kw AC charger or 30 kw DC fast charger can be purchased. We hope that the Kwid Ev will be available in the showroom at the end of 2026 or early 2027.
