Renault has confirmed that India will be among its top 3 global markets by 2030 and for this the company is planning to launch 7 new models.
Renault Group has introduced its new “futuREady India” strategy for the Indian market, with special emphasis on upcoming new products. The company has confirmed that India will be among its top three global markets by 2030. For this, Renault is coming up with the biggest product plan in its history, in which a total of 7 new models will be prepared for Indian customers.
Under this strategy, Renault is going to redesign its entire line-up, which will include compact cars to midsize and premium SUVs. One of the most important launches will be the new Renault Duster, which was introduced earlier this year and has seen a lot of excitement among customers.
It will also be accompanied by a new B-segment SUV, which was recently shown as the Bridger Concept. This SUV can be launched with petrol, hybrid and fully electric (EV) options. Renault has said that all these 7 models will be based on two new modular platforms RGEP and RGMP. These platforms have been built with a multi-energy approach.
This means that customers will get multiple powertrain options like petrol, strong hybrid and electric. The company is also bringing long-term plans for its customers in India. A 7-year warranty will be provided under the “Renault Forever” program, which will further increase customer confidence. Renault is making India more important in its global operations.
Chennai plant is being made a technology and engineering hub. More than 6,000 engineers will work here on vehicle development, software and future mobility. The company has now become the full owner of the Chennai manufacturing operation, which will improve localization and production control.
Renault is also preparing India as a major export hub and is targeting annual exports of 2 billion euros by 2030. The company will launch a 3-row version of Renault Duster in the current financial year. The compact SUV based on Bridger will be positioned between Kiger and Duster. With new models, multi-energy platforms and strong localization, Renault is preparing to strengthen its hold in the Indian market in the coming years.
