The Royal Enfield Classic 650 Anniversary Edition has several cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the regular model.
On the occasion of its 125 years, Royal Enfield had introduced a special edition of the Classic 650 at EICMA 2025, which celebrates the company’s historical journey in a special way. The company started manufacturing its motorcycles in 1901 and is now celebrating 125 years.
To mark this special occasion, the company has chosen its most recognizable bike, and at first glance the most special part of it is its new paintwork. The biggest feature of this 125th Year Anniversary Edition is its unique “Hypershift” paintwork, which appears to change from deep red to gold depending on the lighting.
The ‘125 Years’ insignia on the fuel tank and the celebration crest on the side panels make it even more premium. In contrast, the rest of the bike has been given a completely blacked-out theme, with everything from the engine casing, exhaust, spoke wheels, frame, handlebar to the headlamp and taillamp in dark finish, further enhancing its modern and stylish appeal.
Mechanically, no changes have been made to the bike. It gets the same 648 cc parallel-twin engine, which is known for its smooth power delivery and touring capability. This engine produces 46 bhp power and 52 Nm torque, which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Slipper clutch is standard in it.
Apart from the mechanical changes and special paint job, this special edition also reflects the classic Royal Enfield heritage. Its teardrop-shaped tank, retro-style nacelle headlamp and balanced design reflect the same traditional look that Royal Enfield bikes have been adopting for generations.
After being showcased on the international platform, its launch in India is also considered to be certain soon. Being a limited edition, the company can give it a premium positioning, and its prices are expected to be announced at the Motoverse event to be held in Vagator. Many new bikes of Royal Enfield shown at EICMA can also become a part of the show in Goa.
