More sporty and attractive exterior design will be seen in the new Sportline variant of Skoda Kylaq.
Skoda is going to further strengthen the range of Kylaq SUV in this festive season. The company may soon launch its new Sportline variant, which was confirmed earlier this year. The Skoda Kylaq has already become an important model for the company and the new Sportline variant will add a sportier look to it.
This variant is expected to be positioned between the mid-spec and top Prestige trims. Mainly design related changes will be seen in the new Kylaq Sportline. It can be given black-finish alloy wheels, dark exterior elements, black accents and Sportline badging, which will make it look different from the regular model.
Similar Sportline treatment is also seen in Skoda’s Kushaq and Slavia. However, mechanical changes are not likely in this variant. Talking about the engine, Skoda Kylaq Sportline will get the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine, which produces 115 HP of power and 178 Nm of torque. This engine will be available with the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

However, according to some reports, the company may also introduce the new 8-speed automatic gearbox found in the facelifted Kushaq. The Kylaq is based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB A0 IN platform, which also underpins the Kushaq, Slavia, Taigun and Virtus. In terms of features, the Sportline variant can be kept similar to the existing high-spec variants.
Features like touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, cruise control, wireless charging and connected car technology can be found in it. For safety, it can be provided with features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Rear Parking Assist.
The Skoda Kylaq is currently priced between Rs 7.50 lakh and Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in Classic, Classic+, Signature, Signature+, Prestige and Prestige+ variants. Pricing and other details of the new Kylaq Sportline will be revealed closer to the launch.
