updated jeep Meridian

Sliding second-row seats are offered in Limited and Overland variants of the 2026 Jeep Meridian SUV.

Jeep India has introduced the 2026 Meridian in the Indian market, which has been significantly updated to make the three-row seating layout more practical. Under the new model update, sliding second-row seats have been provided in select variants. The updated 2026 Jeep Meridian with sliding second-row seats is now available at Jeep dealerships across the country.

Prices for the newly updated variants start at Rs 30.01 lakh, while the Meridian range starts at Rs 23.33 lakh (ex-showroom) and bookings are currently open. In the Indian market, it competes with Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, while MG Gloster and the upcoming VW Tayron will also join its segment.

The biggest change in the 2026 Jeep Meridian is the sliding second-row seats offered in the Limited and Overland variants. These seats can be moved forward and backward by up to 140 mm in the length direction, allowing customers to increase legroom for the second and third rows as per their need or create more luggage space.

The 40:60 split second-row seats have sliding movement of up to 310 mm for the smaller section and 290 mm for the larger section. Additionally, the seats can tilt forward up to 33 degrees for easy entry to the third-row. The new setting also offers a torso angle of 23 degrees and an additional 12 degrees of recline for second-row passengers, improving both comfort and support while keeping safety standards in mind.

Despite these changes, the overall design and cabin layout of the 2026 Meridian has remained the same. The SUV has a 7-slot grille and LED lighting, which gives it a strong road presence. The use of soft-touch materials continues inside the cabin for a premium feel. Talking about the features, it has panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats and leatherette upholstery. As a technology, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been provided. Jeep’s Uconnect connected car platform supports more than 30 connected features.

On the safety front, the 2026 Jeep Meridian has more than 70 active and passive safety features, while ADAS is also available in select variants. Mechanically, no changes have been made in the SUV. Like before, it has a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, which generates 170 HP power and 350 Nm torque. This engine comes with Select-Terrain 4×4 system in select variants.
