New look, new features and some changes in the engine can be seen in the new generation Suzuki Burgman Street.
Suzuki Motorcycle India is going to launch a new two-wheeler in India on 2nd April 2026. The company has sent “Block Your Date” invites for this and has also released a teaser image, in which the split headlamp setup is visible. Although the company has not yet officially announced the name of this new model, it is believed that it could be the next generation Suzuki Burgman Street, which was seen during testing in India last year.
According to media reports, the new generation Burgman can get updates like Suzuki Access 125 launched last year. This scooter was launched in 2018 and has been present in the market for the last eight years. After this, in 2022, the company introduced the Street EX version, which had a larger 12-inch rear wheel, but its design and layout remained almost the same.
Now the teaser image indicates that the new Burgman will get a split headlamp, which will be inspired by the Burgman 200 and 400 sold in the global market. Apart from the headlight, many major changes can be seen in this scooter both at the design and mechanical level, because it will be a completely new generation model.
For your information, let us tell you that in the new generation Access 125, the company had given a new chassis, due to which the exhaust related problems of the old model were removed. Along with this, a new engine was also given in it, which included many new parts like camshaft, crankshaft and crankcase. However, its bore and stroke remained the same, due to which there was no change in power and torque.
Similarly, the new generation Burgman may also see changes in engine and chassis along with styling updates. Currently, the price of the current Burgman ranges between Rs 93,676 to Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new model may be a little costlier due to modern features, new design and updated engine.
The Suzuki Burgman Street is one of the most popular maxi-style scooters in India and often features in the list of top 10 scooters in terms of sales. It sells an average of more than 20,000 units every month. In the Indian market, it competes with TVS Ntorq 125 and Yamaha Ray ZR.
