The Tata Intra EV Pickup gets a 28.2 kWh IP67-rated battery, which is capable of delivering a range of 211 km on a single charge.
Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMCV), the commercial vehicle division of Tata Motors, has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio by launching the new Intra EV Pickup. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This new electric pickup joins the Tata Ace EV 1000 and Tata Ace Pro EV in the TMCV line-up.
Tata Intra EV Pickup has a long loading body, which is up to 10 feet 2 inches long and can carry a maximum payload of up to 1,750 kg. According to the company, this model is suitable for many applications like LPG and dairy distribution, FMCG, e-commerce, cold chain and waste management.
This electric pickup has a single motor, which generates power of 72 kW (97 hp) and torque of 230 Nm. This vehicle can easily climb up to 23%. It has an IP67-rated 28.2 kWh battery pack. According to the company, it takes about 55 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent and gives a range of up to 211 kilometers on full charge.
Talking about the features, it has a walk-through cabin, electric power-assisted steering and comfortable ergonomics like a car. Through the Tata Motors Fleet Edge system, owners can access real-time vehicle tracking, health monitoring and maintenance information, making operations easier and transparent.
Drivers can choose from 3 levels of regenerative braking to get better range or a smoother driving experience. Apart from this, it is also provided with electronic braking system for better stability and braking. TMCV is offering a warranty of 6 years or 2 lakh kilometers on the battery of this electric pickup, although other warranty details of the vehicle have not been shared yet.
The company also said that its customers will get access to more than 25,000 charging points across the country. Additionally, a network of over 200 EV-specialized service centers is also available in India, which will provide better after-sales support to the customers.
