In a jolt, Tata Motors has announced to increase the prices of its commercial vehicles by 2 to 2.5 percent. This increased price will be applicable from April 1. Tata Motors said in an information given to the stock exchanges that due to the increase in the prices of steel, aluminum and other things, it is having to increase the prices of commercial vehicles. Last week, Mercedes-Benz India had said it would increase the prices of its vehicles by up to three per cent from April 1, citing cost escalation.
The Tata Tigor EV XE model, which was earlier available for Rs 11,99,000, is now priced at Rs 12,24,000. On the other hand, if we talk about the Tata Tigor EV XM model, then it was launched in the market at a price of Rs 12,49,000, but now customers will have to pay Rs 12,74,000 to buy it. Apart from this, the Tata Tigor EV XZ+ model, which was earlier priced at Rs 12,99,000, has now gone up to Rs 13,24,000.
The price of BMW vehicles also increased
The company has increased the price by around Rs. 50,000 on the A-Class limousine, around Rs. 1 lakh on the GLC 220d to around Rs. 5 lakh on the top-end AMG GT 63 S 4 door coupe. The new price hike will not apply to electric cars, but will primarily be applicable to ICE cars.
This includes A 200 Limousine (42 Lakh), GLA 200 (45 Lakh), GLC 200 (62 Lakh), GLE 300 d 4M (86 Lakh), GLS 400d 4M (1.16 Lakh), LWB E-Class 200 (71 Lakh), S-Class 350 d (1.60 Cr), AMG E 63 S 4matic (CBU) (1.77 Cr), and AMG-GT 63 S 4 Door Coupe (CBU) (2.70 Cr).
