Here we have given information about compact SUVs to be launched in India in the next 2 years.
Tata Motors is preparing to launch many new SUVs in the coming years. The company is already quite strong in the compact SUV segment and is now going to expand its models from micro SUV to fully electric SUV. With this, Tata’s SUV line will become even stronger.
Tata Motors’ plans for the future are quite big and aggressive. The company is preparing to launch about 30 new or major updated models. Under this strategy, Tata will launch seven new models. The most eye-catching comeback among these will be the new Tata Sierra. Apart from this, there will also be a futuristic Avinya EV series and an all-new compact SUV, which is being called “Scarlet” in the company for now.
However, Tata’s focus is on the compact SUV segment, where Tata has seen the highest demand. At the forefront of this segment will be the next generation Nexon, which will be completely redesigned. The company has internally codenamed the new Nexon as “Garuda” and it is being built on a new and improved version of the updated X1 platform.
The new Tata Nexon will get a major design update and an all-new cabin inside, with better fit-finish and comfort than before. Customers can also get premium features like Level-2 ADAS, a new digital instrument cluster and an advanced infotainment system. It is believed that it can be launched in 2027.
Tata’s smallest SUV Punch is also going to get an update soon. Its testing model has already been seen several times on Indian roads, which clearly shows that many changes in the design will be inspired by the Punch EV. It is expected that the updated petrol variant with new look and more modern features will hit the market by the end of this year.
The facelifted Punch EV is likely to be launched in 2026. Along with this, Tata Motors is also working on a brand new compact SUV “Scarlet”, which will be placed between the Punch and Nexon in the company’s lineup. The styling of the new Scarlett may be inspired by the upcoming Sierra. The new SUV will compete directly with the popular models of the compact SUV segment.
