Tata Sierra EV is offered in 5 variants including Pure, Pure S, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered A and has the option of 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs.
Tata Sierra EV has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of its top QWD dual-motor variant goes up to Rs 25.99 lakh. This electric SUV is available in a total of five variants – Pure, Pure S, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered A. At the same time, the Empowered A 75 kWh variant can be purchased with QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) system by paying an additional Rs 1.20 lakh. Apart from this, the price of 7.2 kW AC fast charger has been kept at Rs 49,000.
The Sierra EV comes with a choice of 63 kWh and 75 kWh LFP battery packs with cell-to-pack architecture and lifetime battery warranty. With a 63 kWh battery it gives a range of 585 km (MIDC), while the 75 kWh RWD version has a claimed range of 665 km (MIDC). The QWD dual-motor version has slightly less range, but offers better traction and faster performance. In the Indian market, Sierra EV will compete with electric SUVs like Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, VinFast VF6, VinFast VF7 and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella.
Talking about powertrain, the RWD variant has a 175 kW electric motor and 340 Nm torque. Whereas in the QWD version, a second motor of 103 kW is also provided at the front, which generates torque of 164 Nm. According to Tata, the wheel torque of 2,857 Nm is available in the RWD model and 4,922 Nm in the QWD version. The fastest Sierra EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

For charging, Sierra EV has 120 kW DC fast charging support, which takes about 26 minutes to charge the battery from 20 to 80 percent. The company claims that the 63 kWh version can achieve a range of 203 km in just 15 minutes of charging and the 75 kWh version can achieve a range of up to 263 km. It also has 622 liters of boot space and 55 liters of frunk (front storage). Apart from this, facilities like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging are also provided. The base Pure variant gets a 63 kWh battery and rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup. In the Pure S variant, apart from all the features of Pure, keyless entry, push-button start, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, tilt and telescopic steering, paddle shifters, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold control, hill descent control, front parking sensor, SOS emergency call, steering-mounted controls, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, parcel tray, LED Fog lamps and roof rails are available.
Whereas the Adventure variant is available in both 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery options. It gets all the features of the Pure S along with leather-wrapped steering and gear selector, mood lighting, Boss Mode, thigh support extender, front seat back pockets, auto-dimming IRVM, express cooling, wireless phone charger, rear wiper, washer and defogger, 540-degree camera, blind spot monitor, 12-speaker JBL audio system, soundbar, Dolby Atmos and Arcade app suite.
Apart from all the features of the Adventure, the Empowered variant gets beige-grey-black cabin theme, beige seat upholstery, rear center armrest, 60:40 split rear seat, 6-way powered driver seat, seat memory and welcome function, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, rear fog lamps, welcome and goodbye lighting, puddle lamps, triple-screen dashboard, JBL Black audio system, Dolby Atmos, Soundbar Mode and multiple JBL sound profiles are provided.
Whereas Empowered A top RWD variant Empowered A gets all the above mentioned features along with 75 kWh battery, 19-inch alloy wheels, heads-up display, Level 2+ ADAS, Auto Park Assist, Summon Mode, 540-degree surround view camera, transparent bonnet view, advanced parking assistance and premium JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos and Apple CarPlay. Segment-first Soundbar Mode is also provided in it.
Empowered A QWD is the most expensive and most powerful variant of the Sierra EV. It has all the features of the Empowered A with a 75 kWh battery, QWD dual-motor all-wheel drive system, 175 kW/340 Nm rear motor and 103 kW/164 Nm front motor. It produces a total of 4,922 Nm of wheel torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. Apart from this, it also has off-road capabilities like Boost Mode, Terrain Modes, Multi-level Regenerative Braking, more than 50 percent restart gradeability and more than 60 percent running gradeability. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 25.99 lakh.
Tata Sierra EV is offered in Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Cloud, Bengal Rouge, Andaman Adventure, Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne. The theme of its cabin also varies according to the variant. The starting variants get black-grey interiors, while the higher variants get a premium combination of beige, gray and black.
