Tata Sierra gets features like 12.3-inch front passenger touchscreen, largest panoramic sunroof in the segment, 12-speaker JBL Black sound system, adjustable under-thigh support for the front seats.
Tata Motors launched the new Sierra in the Indian market on 25 November and started booking it from 17 December. It had received more than 70,000 confirmed bookings on the very first day, while around 1.35 lakh customers are in the process of finalizing their bookings. The new Sierra has received an excellent response from customers since the first day of its launch.
The sales figure of the new Tata Sierra in India has crossed 10,000 units. Tata Motors started its delivery from mid-January. Dealerships in many cities are quoting a waiting period of about six months for the delivery of this SUV. Tata Motors has introduced the new Sierra as a midsize SUV. Its ex-showroom price has been kept between Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 21.29 lakh. To justify this price, it has been given segment-first and best-in-class features.
During Tata Motors’ Q3 FY2026 earnings conference call held on February 5, Shailesh Chandra said that the all-new Sierra will prove to be a major growth driver for the company and its production will be increased considering the strong demand. He further said that at present the waiting period of Sierra is about six to seven months. The company will increase production capacity in two phases in the next five to six months. In his final statement he also said that the new Sierra has improved the company’s profit margin.
Talking about the exterior, it has features like 19-inch alloy wheels, welcome lights with flush-fitted door handles, gesture controlled power tailgate and hidden rear wiper. The interiors include features like a 12.3-inch front passenger touchscreen, the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment, a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system, adjustable under-thigh support for the front seats, 6-way power adjustment for the driver seat, memory and welcome functions, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.
For safety, the company offers 22 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Augmented Reality Head-up Display, 360-degree HD Surround View Monitor and many other advanced features. Engine options include 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 1.5 liter turbo diesel. Transmission options are 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the all-electric version of Sierra will be launched between April and June 2026 and it is expected that its range will be around 500 km.
