These 10 scooters were in highest demand in May 2026, Activa again became number 1

Honda Activa

Honda Activa’s dominance was clearly visible in the list of top 10 best selling scooters of May 2026 and it sold 2,28,955 units.

The scooter segment performed brilliantly in May 2026 and once again Honda Activa has been the best selling scooter. Total sales of top 10 scooters stood at 6,41,680 units, whereas in May 2025 this figure was 5,21,431 units. In this way, an increase of 1,20,249 units has been recorded on annual basis. During this period, there has been a good increase in the demand for both petrol and electric scooters.

Honda Activa topped the list with sales of 2,28,955 units. Last year, in the same month, 1,90,713 units were sold. In this way the sales of Activa have increased by 20.05 percent. The special thing was that the share of Activa alone in the total sales of top 10 scooters was more than one-third.

TVS Jupiter stood second in the list with total sales of 1,24,767 units. An increase of 27.83 percent has been recorded in its sales as compared to May last year. At the same time, Suzuki Access stood at the third position with 75,729 units, although its sales remained almost stable and registered a marginal decline of 0.06 percent.

TVS iQube has recorded the highest sales in the electric scooter segment. Its 42,192 units were sold in May 2026, which is 52.64 percent more than last year. After this, Bajaj Chetak stood fifth in the list with 38,376 units and its sales have increased by 50.26 percent on an annual basis.

TVS Ntorq took the sixth position with sales of 34,127 units registering a growth of 35.40 percent. Hero Destini 125 has registered the highest year-on-year growth among the top 10 scooters. Its sales increased by 76.34 percent to 26,482 units. Whereas 25,835 units of Suzuki Burgman were sold and an increase of 4.65 percent has been registered.

Honda Dio remained ninth in the list with 23,814 units, but its sales declined by 9.18 percent. Whereas Yamaha RayZR has completed the top 10 list with sales of 21,403 units. RayZR has recorded a strong growth of 64.35 percent in sales, making it among the fastest growing scooters.
