Many new vehicles are going to be launched in the midsize SUV segment within the next year. Big companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota, Renault and Nissan are preparing their new SUVs. There is going to be a lot of competition in the market and customers will get all types of SUVs including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric. Here we have given information about 8 new SUVs coming in the Indian market.

1&2. New Tata Sierra ICE & EV

Tata Motors is preparing to bring back its famous Sierra, which has been spotted testing several times. Sierra’s comeback is expected to begin with its electric model in the coming months. It will use the same battery pack as the Harrier EV, which is capable of giving 500 km range. After this, petrol and diesel models will also be launched early next year.

3. Maruti Suzuki and Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch its first electric car, the e-Vitara, which will go on sale at the brand’s premium Nexa outlets in the coming months. The SUV will be available with two battery pack options, capable of providing a range of over 500 km on a single charge. The e-Vitara also includes a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, etc.

4. Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV

The Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV will also be built on the Heartect E platform and will get almost the same technology. It will have two battery options and the range will also be almost like the e Vitara. There will be slight changes in design and size, but the features will remain almost the same. The Urban Cruiser BEV will be launched soon after the launch of the e-Vitara.

5. New Gen Renault Duster

Renault is again preparing to launch its famous Duster SUV in India. This time it will come as a completely new model and is expected to be launched in the first half of 2026. The new Duster will be built on a new and improved platform (CMF-B+), due to which its performance and features will be better than before. At the time of launch, it will be available with petrol engine and later a version with hybrid engine can also be introduced.

6.Nissan Tekton

Nissan is preparing to launch an all-new midsize SUV, the Tecton, which will be brought to India next year. Built on the CMF-B+ platform of the next-generation Duster, the Tecton will share many key components and mechanical parts with its sibling model. In terms of design, the Nissan Tekton takes inspiration from the company’s famous Patrol SUV. Its front has a strong lower bumper, powerful bonnet and C-shaped LED headlamps, which give it a powerful and stylish look on the road.

7&8. Mahindra XUV700 Facelift & XEV 7e

Mahindra is working on an update to the XUV700, which is expected to hit the market in early 2026. The new model will feature minor exterior changes, new interiors and a list of upgraded features, while the existing 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines will continue with the same gearbox options. Apart from this, Mahindra is also preparing a 7-seater electric SUV based on the XUVe8 called XEV 7e.
