Tata Punch led the sales of top 10 SUVs in June 2026, while many SUVs from Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Hyundai, Kia and Toyota are also included in the list.
The list of India’s best-selling cars in June 2026 has been dominated by compact and midsize SUVs. About 15 SUVs were included in the top-25 best-selling models. During this period, Tata Motors captured both the first and second positions, while many SUVs from Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Hyundai, Kia and Toyota have also recorded excellent sales.
Tata Punch has been the country’s best-selling SUV in June 2026. It sold 21,006 units, whereas last year in the same month this figure was 10,446 units. In this way, an annual increase of 101 percent has been recorded in the sales of Punch. Tata Nexon stood at second place, with 18,335 units sold. Its sales in June 2025 were 11,602 units. In this way Nexon has achieved an annual growth of 58 percent.
Mahindra Scorpio (Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic) was at third place and its total sales were 14,097 units, which is 11 percent more as compared to last year’s 12,740 units. At fourth position was Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which sold 13,135 units and registered an annual growth of 34 percent.

Hyundai Venue has secured the fifth position in the top-5. Its 10,776 units were sold in June 2026, which is 57 percent more than last year. Mahindra Thar also performed well registering sales of 10,669 units, while Mahindra XUV 3XO sold 10,063 units. At the same time, the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Victoris secured the eighth position by selling 10,035 units and strengthened the company’s SUV portfolio.
Kia Seltos has registered the fastest annual growth among midsize SUVs. It sold 9,654 units in June 2026, whereas 5,225 units were sold in the same month last year. That means a spectacular increase of 85 percent was recorded in its sales. At the same time, sales of Maruti Suzuki Brezza stood at 9,939 units, which was 31 percent less than last year.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider remained slightly outside the top-10. It sold 9,104 units in June 2026 and has registered an annual growth of 22 percent. Overall, Tata Motors’ dominance in the SUV segment was clearly visible in June 2026. The company’s Punch and Nexon secured the first two positions. While Mahindra’s 3 SUVs remained included in the top-10, while Maruti Suzuki maintained its strong presence on the basis of Fronx, Victoris and Brezza.
