Tata Nexon has topped the list of top 10 cars in October 2025 with 22,083 units, which is an increase of 50 percent on an annual basis.
The month of October 2025 proved to be very successful for many companies in the Indian automobile market. This month, the first two positions in the list of top 10 cars have been occupied by compact SUV and sedan. As per sales figures, Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Dezire continue to dominate the market.
Tata Nexon sold a total of 22,083 units last month, which is a 50 percent increase year-on-year compared to 14,759 units sold in October 2024. Its design, safety features and popularity of electric variants have contributed significantly to sales. Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire sedan stood second in the list with 20,791 units. In October 2024, it sold 12,698 units, which is an increase of 64 percent on an annual basis.
MPV segment king Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has shown a steady performance with total sales of 20,087 units, a growth of 7 per cent year-on-year. Its utility as a family car and the CNG option have maintained sales. Whereas in the list, Maruti Wagon R has got the fourth position with 18,970 units, which were sold in the same period last year. Went There is an increase of 36 percent on annual basis as compared to 13,922 units. Maruti’s hatchback Wagon R still remains the first choice for small families.

Creta, a reliable car in the midsize SUV segment, retained its popularity and sold a total of 18,381 units, which is an increase of 5 percent on an annual basis as compared to 17,497 units sold in the same period last year. The company will also launch its new generation model by 2027.
Whereas Mahindra Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N have sold a total of 17,810 units, which is an increase of 14 percent on an annual basis as compared to 15,677 units sold in October 2024. Maruti Suzuki Fronx has been ranked seventh in the list with 17,003 units. Whereas in October 2024, a total of 16,419 units were sold, which is an increase of 4 percent on an annual basis. Maruti Baleno has been ranked eighth in the list with 16,873 units.
The micro SUV segment leader Punch continues to be in demand in both rural and urban markets and has sold 16,810 units last month, a growth of 7 per cent year-on-year as compared to 15,740 units sold in the same period last year. Tata Motors will also launch its facelift version in the coming months. The last position in the top 10 list went to Maruti Suzuki Swift, which sold a total of 15,542 units.
