Toyota’s new electric SUV urban cruiser Ebella will be offered with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack options and will be equipped with many premium features.

Recently Maruti Suzuki had announced the prices of e Vitara and now it is expected that Toyota will also reveal the prices of Ebella in India soon. This SUV will be provided with two lithium-iron-phosphate battery packs, which will be connected to the front-axle motor. The 49 kWh battery produces 142 bhp power, while the 61 kWh battery pack generates 171.5 bhp power and 189 Nm torque. It will support both standard AC charging and CCS2 DC fast charging.

This 5-seater electric SUV has a 10.25-inch digital driver display and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless smartphone connectivity. The higher variants also get features like ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof, wireless charging and JBL’s premium sound system.

The rear seats can slide and recline, providing greater comfort for passengers. It will be launched in the midsize electric SUV segment in the market. It is estimated that its starting price could be around Rs 16.5 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of the top variant could go above Rs 21 lakh. Booking has already started.

The urban cruiser Ebella is built on the Heartect-e platform, which was co-developed with Suzuki Motor Corporation. It is being produced at Suzuki’s plant in Gujarat, where the e Vitara is also manufactured. In terms of safety, features like 7 airbags, electronic stability control and strong body structure have been provided as standard.

The top E3 ​​variant also gets advanced driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking, blind spot alert, rear cross-traffic detection and 360-degree camera. Talking about the design, its look is sharp and sporty, which is similar to the e Vitara but comes with some different styling elements. It has LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, dual-tone color options and a high SUV stance.

The long-range version claims to deliver a range of up to 543 km on a full charge as per ARAI test. Along with this, facilities like 8 years battery warranty, subscription based battery plan, buyback support, more than 500 EV-ready outlets and more than 2,500 trained service staff will also be provided.
