Ather Rizta crossed 1 lakh units sales mark in just 11 months of launch and due to strong customer demand, its total sales crossed 3 lakh units in the next 11 months.
Ather Rizta has crossed the huge figure of 3 lakh units in just two years of its launch in the Indian market. This electric scooter achieved sales of 1 lakh units within 11 months of its launch and also crossed the 3 lakh units mark in the next 11 months. Rizta accounted for 76 percent of Ather’s total sales in FY26. Ather Rizta was launched in April 2024 as the company’s first family electric scooter.
By December 2025, it had touched the sales mark of 2 lakh units and after that 1 lakh more units were sold in just 5 months. Over the last two years, Rizta has played a key role in strengthening Ather’s presence outside South India. The company’s market share in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha increased from 4.1 per cent in Q1 FY25 to 17.3 per cent in Q4 FY26. At the same time, in northern states like Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, the company’s share has increased more than three times.
Talking about this achievement, Ravneet Singh Phokela said, “Rizta was specially designed keeping in mind the family customers and has received an excellent response across the country. With the help of this scooter, the company gained a strong foothold in South India during FY26. In states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, the market share of Ather increased by 4 times after the launch. Rizta’s share in the company’s total sales in FY26 was approximately It was 76 percent.
Today, Rizta is the largest contributor to Ather’s total sales in these regions. According to the company, about 70 percent of customers purchasing Rizta are families with children, reflecting its family-friendly image. Talking about the features, Ather Rizta has a large seat setup, wide floorboard and a total storage space of 56 liters.
This includes 34 liters of under-seat storage and 22 liters of frunk. Apart from this, advanced safety and connected features like skid control, theft alerts and tow alerts are also provided in it. This electric scooter is available in S and Z variants, which have the option of 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery packs.
Ather Energy is continuously improving the user experience through OTA updates. In September 2025, the company released an OTA update for Rizta Z customers with a touchscreen interface through Atherstack 7, which further improved the user experience.
