Triumph Motorcycles has a strong hold in India, crosses 1 lakh sales mark

Triumph Thruxton 400

The achievement of 1 lakh sales has been achieved almost two and a half years after the beginning of the partnership between Bajaj Auto and Triumph Motorcycles.

Triumph Motorcycles has achieved a major milestone in the Indian market. Now more than 1 lakh motorcycles of the company are running on the roads of India. This is a significant milestone for the British brand in terms of its expansion in India and its models have received a good response from customers, especially in the 400 cc segment. Thanks to the partnership with Bajaj Auto, the company has rapidly strengthened its hold in the entry-level middleweight motorcycle segment.

The partnership between Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto started strengthening from the second quarter of 2023 and since then the company’s growth has been increasing continuously. The partnership combines Triumph’s global engineering expertise with Bajaj’s manufacturing capabilities, research-development resources and large distribution network.

A major outcome of this collaboration is the rapid expansion of Triumph’s retail network in India. Today the brand is present in more than 200 cities of the country and has more than 230 retail outlets. Along with increasing sales, the company is also emphasizing on building a strong rider community in India.

For this, the company is bringing motorcycle lovers together through programs like World of Triumph and Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Apart from this, keeping in mind the Indian roads and riding style, special rides are also being organized at beautiful places like Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler Rides, Bike Nights and Western Ghats, so that riders can experience the real experience of these motorcycles.

Another important reason behind this achievement is the local production of 400 series motorcycles in India. These bikes made in India are not limited to the domestic market only, but they are also being exported to 18 international markets like Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan and South Korea. This clearly shows that India is becoming an important manufacturing hub for Triumph.

The company’s Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Speed T4 have received good response from customers due to their competitive pricing, excellent build quality and strong performance. Apart from this, the company’s lineup also includes Triumph Scrambler 400X and the recently introduced Triumph Thruxton 400. Bajaj, Triumph and KTM are also working on plans to introduce new engines with less than 400 cc capacity in the future, so that they can take advantage of the possible GST 2.0 tax cut.
