Vespa 80th Anniversary Tech 80 Edition prices will be revealed next week and it will be available in both 125 cc and 150 cc variants.
Vespa is completing its 80 years this year and on this special occasion, the Tech 80th series has been introduced in India. It was launched in Mumbai exactly 80 years after Vespa was first patented in 1946. This special edition is available in both 125 cc and 150 cc variants.
It has been given a special commemorative look, which marks the beginning of Vespa. Its price will be announced next week. This edition is special because it has been painted in Verde Pestello green color, which is taken from Piaggio’s past records and was used on earlier Vespa scooters.
The color is in a glossy finish all over the scooter, while some parts get a light matte (satin) finish. Parts like handle, mirror, grab handle and suspension are also in the same color, while the seat and footrest have been given a slightly darker green color, which makes the scooter look more premium.
To give a classic touch to the design, its wheels are inspired by the Vespa 98 of 1946 and they too have been given a diamond finish with Verde Pestello color. The front gets an 80th anniversary badge with the Vespa logo, while the rear has a badge reading “80 Years of Vespa Est. 1946”.
Both the designs are simple but attractive and look good on the scooter as the color and small details make it stand out. Talking about engine options, it has a 124.4 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 9.5 HP power and 10.1 Nm torque. The 149.5 cc engine gives power of 11.4 HP and torque of 11.6 Nm.
At the same time, the global celebration of Vespa’s 80th anniversary will be organized in Rome between 25 to 28 June 2026, which is being described as the biggest Vespa event till date. Over the last 80 years, Piaggio has produced more than 160 Vespa models and the Tech 80th Edition pays tribute to that legacy.
