The Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh in India, while the BaaS plan starts at Rs 60,000.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand, Vida, has added a new battery pack to its growing portfolio with the launch of the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant. Revealed by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, the new model features a dual removable battery system that offers a range of up to 100 kilometers on a single charge.
It produces a maximum power of 6 kW (8 hp) and peak torque of 26 Nm. Riders can switch between Eco and Ride modes, while its top speed is 70 km/h. This scooter has 27.2 liters of under-seat storage, flat floorboard and cushioned seat.
Speaking on the new launch, Ms. Kaushalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Vida has always been dedicated to progress and our aim is to improve the lives of Indian riders where innovation and utility meet. The new VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant is specially designed for those who want more range and better efficiency in their daily commute.”
To make electric vehicles more accessible, the brand is continuously strengthening its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Under the new BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model, customers can now subscribe to batteries instead of purchasing them. This reduces the initial price of the scooter and also, features like payment per kilometer and maintenance plans make it more affordable.
The company’s rapidly growing ecosystem further strengthens the VX2 range with over 4,600 charging points and 700 service touchpoints across India. The new VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh, while the BaaS plan starts at Rs 60,000, with a cost per kilometer of Rs 0.90. This makes this scooter one of the most affordable and value-for-money options in its segment.
Available at Vida dealerships from this month, the new VX2 range now includes the VX2 Go 2.2 kWh, VX2 Go 3.4 kWh and VX2 Plus variants. The entry-level electric scooter segment has been witnessing intense competition recently as all manufacturers are trying to increase their sales. Hero’s Vida brand is moving forward rapidly in this race.
