Having appeared in several international shows, Yamaha The E01 electric scooter is now moving into the testing phase. Testing of EVs has been confirmed in Malaysia, along with Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia. According to reports, the proof-of-concept (PoC) planner for the Yamaha E01 Yasushi Nomura said that the electric scooter will be tested in Europe and Japan as well. Yamaha Japan plans to conduct trials on highway equivalent roads in Europe and will receive temperate climate conditions, while the Yamaha E01 in Malaysia electric scooter Will be exposed to tropical conditions.
Concerns like travel range, charging process, and charging time of the Yamaha E01 will be addressed in the test. The Yamaha E01 will be similar to the Yamaha NMax in size and seating arrangement. The E01 will sport a 4.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that will power an electric motor producing 8.1 kW at 5,000 rpm and 30.2 Nm of torque at 1,950 rpm.
