Yamaha FZ-Rave features full-LED projector headlamps with integrated position light, cosmetic vents, compact exhaust etc.
Yamaha has expanded its popular FZ lineup in India by launching the new FZ-Rave, priced at Rs 1,17,218 (ex-showroom, Delhi), ex-showroom. Talking about styling, the FZ-Rave features an attractive full-LED projector headlamp with integrated position light, an attractive fuel tank with cosmetic vents, compact exhaust and a sleek tail section.
It also has a single-piece seat and is available in two colors – Matte Titan and Metallic Black. The FZ-Rave is powered by a 149 cc air-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke SOHC engine with fuel injection technology. This engine produces 12.4 PS of power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, and is mated to a five-speed transmission.
The engine of the FZ-Rave has been tuned for smooth acceleration and better mileage. It is also compatible with E20 fuel. Its diamond-type frame is based on telescopic forks at the front and swingarm suspension at the rear. For braking, hydraulic single disc brakes have been provided in both the wheels, which are supported by single-channel ABS system.
FZ-Rave has tubeless tires of size 100/80-17 at the front and 140/60-17 at the rear. Its length is 1,990 mm, width is 780 mm and height is 1,080 mm. The seat height is kept at 790 mm and the wheelbase is kept at 1,330 mm. The ground clearance of the bike is 165 mm, weight is 136 kg and it has a fuel tank of 13 liters.
Talking about the features, this motorcycle has a digital instrument cluster which includes speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock. It also has LED lighting, electric start and a 12V 3.0Ah battery system for reliability. There are already over 27.5 lakh FZ-series motorcycles on Indian roads, and the new FZ-Rave will help further expand this portfolio.
During the launch, Yamaha not only introduced the stylish XSR 155 with the FZ-Rave but also strengthened its electric lineup. On this occasion, the company has also revealed its two new electric scooters EC-06 and Aerox-E in India, which are expected to be launched next year.
