Bangalore. Dog meat is being served in hotels in Karnataka’s capital Bangalore! This allegation has created a ruckus. Actually, a big shipment of meat reached Bangalore from Jaipur. According to the railways, cow protector Puneet Kerhalli, who has gone to jail on murder charges, claimed that this is dog meat. After this, a rumour started spreading on social media that dog meat is being served in Bangalore’s hotels and restaurants by calling it goat meat. On the complaint of dog meat coming from Jaipur, FSSI reached the spot and took samples and sent it for testing.

The allegation of bringing dog meat from Jaipur by Puneet Kerehalli, who claims to be a cow protector, spread like wildfire. After this, many people gathered at the spot. Police had to be deployed to maintain law and order. At the same time, Abdul Razzaq, who ordered this consignment of meat, said that he has legal documents and anyone can see the tail of the animal in the meat sample. Abdul Razzaq claimed that this is not dog meat but sheep meat. Razzaq also alleged that Puneet Kerehalli wants to extort money from him by making false allegations.

Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s (BPMP) Special Commissioner for Health and Animal Husbandry Vikas Kishore told the media that a complaint had come in earlier and orders for investigation were given. He said that it was brought to my attention again through a social media post. After which the concerned animal husbandry officers were sent to the spot. According to the Special Commissioner, the officers have started the investigation in coordination with FSSAI officers and the police. Further action will be taken after this. According to the information, 3 tons of meat has come to Bengaluru in 150 boxes from Jaipur. It has not been confirmed yet whether the meat that came from Jaipur is of dog.
