Earnest. Under the Fertilizer Control Order, 1985, the Agriculture Department, taking strict action against the agricultural input sellers violating the rules, has suspended the fertilizer authorization letter (License No. 381/Agri/2015) of M/s Ashok Khad Seed Store, Hatijar, Vair with immediate effect. Notified Authority and Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Zilla Parishad Bharatpur Radheshyam Meena took this action on the recommendation of Fertilizer Inspector and Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension), Bayana. The investigation revealed serious irregularities like selling fertilizer by the seller at a price higher than the fixed rate, not displaying the stock and price list at the shop, not issuing bill of sale to the farmers, not providing the stock register and not providing stock information, which were considered to be a clear violation of various provisions of the Fertilizer Control Order, 1985. According to the order, the concerned seller has been instructed to present his case before the notified authority within seven days from the date of issue of the order.
Here, under the leadership of Bayana Subdivision Officer Deepak Mittal, Assistant Director of Agriculture Department Harbhan Singh and Agriculture Officer Munim Singh Gurjar conducted a surprise inspection of the shops and warehouses of agricultural input sellers in Bayana town. During the inspection, fertilizer stock, records, price lists, sales arrangements and other necessary documents were thoroughly examined. The officials instructed all the vendors to follow the provisions of the Fertilizer Control Order 100 percent and to provide fertilizers to the farmers at the prescribed rate, issue bills and keep all the records updated. He clarified that strict action will continue against the sellers who ignore the rules.
