Jodhpur. A memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was submitted today through the District Collector, in which the Barber (Sen) community has expressed strong protest against the alleged statement of Mahant Balak Nath.
According to the case, during a recent program the MLA allegedly used words like “Tu jeen hai ya nai” (Are you a genius or a barber), which people in the society have described as derogatory. This comment is said to have been made during anger over the quality of road construction, but giving the example of barber community in it is considered objectionable. Representatives of the society say that after the video of this statement went viral on social media, there has been deep anger among the Sen community across the country including Rajasthan. He has called it a direct attack on the honor of the hardworking and laboring class.
It was also mentioned in the memorandum that Sen Samaj has been providing its services to every section of the society for centuries in important occasions like happiness and sorrow, birth, death and marriage. This type of comment can affect social harmony towards this society which is famous for its loyalty, skill and service spirit.
The representatives of the society have demanded from the administration that the matter should be investigated impartially and appropriate legal and administrative action should be taken against the concerned MLA. Also, trust and respect should be restored in the society by getting a public apology from him. During this, many dignitaries including Go Bhagat Dayalpuri Ji Maharaj, Mangal Nath Balaji worshiper Satyanarayan Ji, Congress Secretary Kishan Ji Sen, Ashok Ji Bhati, Deepak Sen, Kishan Fauji, Sukhdev Fauji, Ram Ratan Sen, Bhanu Sain, Surendra Bhati, Vishnu Shekhasar, Nand Kishore Bawdi, Abhishek Sen and Arun Bhati were present.
