Fazilka, 11 September (). In the border area of Fazilka district of Punjab, 32 teams have been deployed by Animal Husbandry Department to take care of animal health. These teams are providing health facilities to animals for 24 hours.
Giving information, Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Mandeep Singh said that a total of 13 animals have died in Fazilka district, including four chickens due to floods.
The owners have filed their reports of flowing into the water. He informed that a total of 16 thousand animals have been affected due to floods in the district, out of which 8 thousand animals have been treated in OPD by the medical teams of Animal Husbandry Department. He said that in the beginning, when animal tractor reached the relief center through trolleys, he showed symptoms of getting sick due to getting wet and tired. Due to non -availability of full food for milch animals, their milk production also decreased.
Dr. Mandeep Singh said that due to excessive anchor in relief centers by many people, cattle were fed an anchor, which led to the problem of acid making acids in the stomach of cattle. Due to the formation of acid, the amount of fat in the milk was reduced and due to the formation of more acid, it also had a negative effect on the health of cattle, due to which people were instructed not to give cattle more anchor.
He said that no advisory has been issued at the district level regarding swine flu, but the government issues advisory from time to time. Trucks and tractors or other goods and pigs drivers in the North East are asked to be careful. Similarly, instructions have also been issued by the department to avoid wild pigs.
He said that from where the animals are in wet places, they should be brought to dried places and potassium carbonate medicine should be applied to the feet of the animals, so that their feet can be protected from damage. Black oil and diesel should be sprayed in the water standing nearby to protect the animals from mosquitoes.
Please tell that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the flood affected areas of Punjab on Tuesday. Along with this, he announced a relief amount of Rs 1600 crore for the flood victims.
