Army's modern disaster relief system, always ready to help

New Delhi, March 1 (). Indian Army is known for its accurate, impenetrable and deadly attacks. However, the world also saw another side of the Indian Army on Sunday. In fact, the Army displayed its expertise in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. 28 defense journalists from 25 countries of the world came to Agra to see this special unit of the Indian Army and its work. This unit of the army is considered expert in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief i.e. HADR operations.

In simple words, whenever there is an earthquake, flood, cyclone or any other major natural disaster, this army unit is the first one ready to help. Here people from different parts of the world were shown how quickly the Indian Army is prepared to reach disaster areas.

He was told that as soon as information about any disaster is received, teams are immediately activated as per the plan. Which team will go, what goods will be carried, how much time will it take to leave, all this planning and program is decided in advance.

Army officials explained that work is done in disaster-stricken areas for humanitarian assistance in collaboration with civil administration and, if necessary, governments of other countries. The special HADR task force has been prepared in such a way that it can immediately provide medical aid, food and other essential items to the affected people. During this time, modern rescue equipment of the army prepared for humanitarian aid was also shown here. Light boats and other equipment that move on water, flood relief equipment and quickly assembled temporary bridges.

Apart from this, the Army also keeps such medical kits ready which can treat many injured simultaneously in difficult situations. This kit was also shown here. All this was demonstrated. The Army said that with the help of these resources, relief is provided quickly even in remote and difficult areas.

The purpose of the entire program was to show that the Indian Army is not only ready for war, but is also equally serious and capable of saving the lives of common people in times of disaster. This meeting gave the international journalists an opportunity to understand that India is fully prepared to provide help in an immediate, organized and humanitarian manner in times of crisis.
