A meeting was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Collector Kalpana Aggarwal regarding releasing water for irrigation in the canals of Bisalpur Dam. During this, Superintending Engineer of Bisalpur Dam Project, P.R. Khoiwal, Executive Engineer Manish Bansal, Joint Director of Agriculture Department Virendra Singh Saulanki, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mrityunjay Mishra and a large number of farmers were present. In the meeting, on the demand of the farmers, the District Collector directed the Superintending Engineer of Bisalpur Dam Project, P.R., to release water from the main right and left canals of the dam for irrigation on Wednesday afternoon. Gave instructions to Khoiwal. The District Collector instructed the Superintending Engineer of Bisalpur Dam to ensure that water reaches the tail on time through the main canals and distributary system. He also said that a control room should be set up to solve the problems of the farmers. He said that instructions have been given to all the development officers to work under NREGA for cleaning the canal system. Apart from this, cleanliness arrangements will also be ensured from the departmental head of Bisalpur project. Bisalpur Dam Superintending Engineer P.R. Khoiwal said that due to good rains this year, Bisalpur dam is completely full. As on December 10, the gauge of Bisalpur Dam is 315.50 meters and the filling is 38.70 TMC. According to which, 8 TMC water is proposed to be given for irrigation of crops for 105 days through the right and left canals of the dam.
