Bihar: Anant Singh took oath as MLA after reaching Assembly, touched Nitish's feet and took blessings

Patna . Anant Singh, elected MLA from Mokama, took oath as MLA in Bihar Assembly on Tuesday. After taking oath, he touched the feet of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and took blessings. Anant Singh, known as a strong MLA, was given permission by the Patna Civil Court to take oath in the Assembly. After this, he was brought to the Assembly on Tuesday amid tight security arrangements. He took oath as MLA after the proceedings of the second day of the budget session of the Assembly began. Tight security arrangements were made in and around the assembly premises. He has not yet got bail in the Dularchand Yadav murder case. The court has not given permission to participate in any other activity except the oath ceremony. After the oath, he will be sent back to Beur jail. Tight security arrangements were made to bring Anant Singh from jail to the Assembly and back. Escort vehicles and quick response teams were deployed. Additional police force remained present inside and outside the assembly complex. There was a complete ban on any kind of gathering of his supporters.
Anant Singh was elected MLA from Mokama assembly seat in the Bihar assembly elections held last year. After victory, Anant Singh was out of the house due to not being able to take oath. His legislative term formally started with his taking oath on Tuesday.
Talking to the media, Anant Singh said that there was a delay in taking the oath due to his unwell health. He told that he reached the Assembly only after getting the permission of the court. Expressing full confidence in the court, Anant Singh said that it is not in his hands to come out of jail. He said that he will come out of jail only when the judge wants. At present he is in judicial custody.
