Patna. The voting process for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 is going on. According to the latest data of the Election Commission, till 3 pm on Thursday, 53.77% voting took place, in which the highest voting took place in Begusarai district. According to Election Commission data, 53.77% voting took place till 3 pm in the first phase of Bihar elections. During this period, maximum 59.82 percent votes were cast in Begusarai. In terms of voting, Muzaffarpur is at second place, where there was less voting in the beginning. The lowest turnout was recorded in the capital Patna, where 48.69 percent voting was recorded till 3 pm. According to the Election Commission, till 9 am the voting percentage was 59.82 percent in Begusarai, 50.07 percent in Bhojpur, 51.69 percent in Buxar, 51.75 percent in Darbhanga, 58.17 percent in Gopalganj, 54.77 percent in Khagaria, 55.96 percent in Madhepura, 52.17 percent in Munger, 52.17 percent in Muzaffarpur. Voting was 58.40 percent, 52.32 percent in Nalanda, 48.69 percent in Patna, 56.35 percent in Samastipur, 54.60 percent in Saran, 49.37 percent in Sheikhpura, 50.93 percent in Siwan and 53.63 percent in Vaishali district.
Earlier, the voting process for 121 assembly seats of Bihar started at 7 am. Bihar Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Priyadarshi informed that voting started on time at all polling stations in 121 assembly constituencies.
The fate of 1314 candidates is at stake in the first phase, which includes 1192 male and 122 female candidates. According to the Election Commission, there are a total of 3,75,13,302 voters in the first phase, including 1,98,35,325 men, 1,76,77,219 women and 758 third gender voters, who will decide the fate of 1314 candidates.
The total number of polling stations in 121 assembly constituencies is 45,341, including 36,733 in rural areas and 8,608 in urban areas. 320 model polling stations have been declared, out of which 926 are women-managed and 107 are disabled-managed.
