Patna, January 5 (). Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said on Monday that 170 national projects are being completed in Bihar with an investment of Rs 6.58 lakh crore. This is the reason why Bihar is moving forward rapidly on the path of development. Samrat Chaudhary said that the schemes of the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are not limited to papers only, but are giving rapid results on the ground.
He said that during the Congress rule, schemes were only announced, but no concrete initiative was taken for their effective implementation. On the contrary, during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, regular review of schemes and strict monitoring of progress is being done, which is reflecting development and giving momentum to the works.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the Chief Secretaries of all the states through Pragati and reviewed the projects worth more than Rs 85 lakh crore and gave instructions to move them forward rapidly. The result of this is that national infrastructure projects are rapidly taking shape in Bihar also.
He said that at present a total of 170 national projects are in progress in Bihar, in which a total investment of Rs 6.58 lakh crore is being made. Of these, 60 projects, costing Rs 1.28 lakh crore, have been successfully completed and dedicated to the public, while 110 projects costing Rs 5.30 lakh crore are under construction at various stages. The Roads and Highways sector is the largest in terms of number of projects, comprising a total of 72 projects. There are 38 projects going on in the railway sector, which are connecting Bihar more strongly with the national rail network.
He further said, apart from this, large scale investments are also being made in power, oil and gas, telecom, urban infrastructure and waterways sectors. Most of the issues related to law and order, electricity, water, fuel and construction have been resolved. All 124 issues related to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have been resolved 100 percent. Many major road, bridge and railway projects have reached 99 to 100 percent progress.
