Bihar STF has achieved great success. Hardcore Naxalite Bacha Sahani, who was absconding for the last 12 years, has been arrested. The accused faces serious charges of burning a contractor’s JCB and shooting its driver to collect levy.
According to the information, this arrest was made by the special team of STF in Bochahan police station area. The team took this action on the basis of long-term intensive investigation and intelligence information. A massive surveillance and search operation was conducted in the area to nab Bachha Sahni.
According to STF officials, Bachha Sahani has been a notorious member of the Naxalite network of Bihar. He is accused of being involved in various serious crimes over many years. This includes collecting levy from contractors, damaging property and using weapons. Several FIRs are registered against the accused in connection with his previous crimes.
After the arrest, STF has taken the accused into safe custody and started further legal action. Police said that Bacha Sahni will be interrogated so that important information can be obtained about other Naxalite networks and their hidden hideouts.
This arrest is being considered an important success in the anti-Naxal operation in the state. STF officials say that this step will reduce the atmosphere of fear of Naxalites and the law and order situation will be further strengthened.
