New Delhi . Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs have reacted to the opposition’s allegations on SIR and Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trip amid the winter session. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut took aim at him and said that she does not want to comment on such a person. Speaking to the media in the Parliament complex, MP Kangana Ranaut said, “I do not keep track of his (Rahul Gandhi) visit, nor do I read any news about him. But it is clear to everyone why his party has shrunk. I do not want to comment on this kind of person, because you know that person has no strength.” Speaking to , BJP MP Darshan Singh Chaudhary said, “Rahul Gandhi goes abroad in the middle of elections. It seems that abroad is the real home of Rahul Gandhi. He has no connection with the soil of India. He neither understands the sentiments of the country nor his pain. He keeps traveling abroad every now and then for cheap popularity. However, this time the people of the country understand the matter.”
Sanjay Jaiswal said, “Rahul Gandhi did not allow the House to function first on the issue of SIR. He did not say a single word in the House as to what improvements he wanted in SIR. He himself might not have understood what he said. On Tuesday, he accidentally came to the House wearing a kurta instead of a t-shirt, so he gave his entire speech in a kurta.”
The BJP MP further said, “The people of the country and the leaders sitting in the Lok Sabha have not understood what reforms he (Rahul Gandhi) wants regarding the election process. He did not utter a single word on this. He came to the House on Tuesday and showed his face. They have understood that the Congress is nearing its end. There is nothing in store for Rahul in the country.”
On the subject of SIR, Damodar Das Aggarwal said that SIR has been accepted by the people of the country. The latest example of this is the results of Bihar assembly elections.
He said, “It is incomprehensible what is the objection to SIR? Should the names of the dead remain in the list, should a person get the right to vote in more than one place, should non-Indian citizens also have the right to vote? It is incomprehensible why the opposition leaders are shouting instead of cooperating in the SIR process?”
