The Center of Excellence for Mines to be built by the Mines Department in Jaipur will be a showcase of the mineral resources of Rajasthan and will include detailed and research material ranging from minor minerals to major minerals, ceramics, rare earth elements, critical minerals.
Aparna Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Mines, Geology and Petroleum Department, said that under one roof in the Excellence Center to be built in Jaipur, mineral scholars from the state, country and the world will be able to get factual and practical information about the minerals of Rajasthan. He said that the Center of Excellence for Mines of the Mines Department will be made multidimensional so that it can be useful for children, students as well as researchers and scholars.
Additional Chief Secretary Khan Aparna Arora was presiding over a high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Friday regarding the initial preparations for the Center of Excellence for Mines, Critical Minerals, Ceramics and Museum to be established in Jaipur. He said that investors and entrepreneurs in the mineral sector will be able to benefit from this and development possibilities ranging from exploration to mineral processing in the mining sector in the state can be explored.
He said that the Center of Excellence should be such that it can include knowledge from ordinary children to advanced students and can promote research and development in the mining sector in Rajasthan. He said that Rajasthan is a state full of mineral diversity and there are 82 types of minerals out of which 57 types of minerals are being exploited. Special Government Secretary Namrata Vrishni, Additional Director Geology Alok Prakash Jain, Superintending Geologist Sanjay Saxena, Sunil Kumar Verma along with Hindustan Zinc and other experts participated in the meeting.
