Jaipur. V. Vulanam, Secretary, Department of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance (Central Government), held a meeting with Chief Secretary V. Srinivas at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday on various issues including the financial position of the state, budgetary management and effective implementation of development schemes. In the meeting, instructions were given to further strengthen the transparency and effectiveness of payment of central funds in Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) through SNA-SPARSH system. He said that effective implementation of SNA-Sparsh system will ensure timely and transparent utilization of funds under the schemes. V. Vulanam, while reviewing the budget of Rajasthan Government, praised the financial arrangements and development-oriented approach of the state. He said that Rajasthan is playing a leading role in the country’s economy and the efforts being made by the state government in the field of infrastructure, investment and public welfare schemes are noteworthy.
They also discussed further strengthening the financial coordination between the central and state governments. He said that there is a need to utilize various resources of the state to improve the economy of the state.
Earlier, V. Vulanam also paid a courtesy call on the Chief Secretary in his chamber.
Principal Secretary of Finance Department Vaibhav Galaria, Government Secretary of Information Technology and Communication Department Dr. Ravi Kumar Surpur along with Deputy Secretary of Finance and Planning Department and other officers were present in the meeting.
