New Delhi. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continuous rain for the next five days in Delhi-NCR. According to the department, there will be light rain in the beginning, while there is a possibility of moderate rain in the middle of the week. The weather department has also issued a yellow alert for some parts of the National Capital Region and advised people to remain alert due to the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning. According to IMD, sporadic rain was recorded in many parts of Delhi on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, while light rain continued in various areas on Saturday also. This rain has brought some relief from the humid weather and there is a possibility of rain in the coming days also.
For Delhi, IMD has issued a forecast of very light to light rain on Sunday and Monday. Weather activities are likely to intensify from Tuesday, due to which the department has issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday. During this period, there is a possibility of moderate rain, cloudy sky and thundershowers at some places.
The weather in Noida is likely to be normal on July 26. It will be partly cloudy here. However, rainfall activities may increase from July 27 and the city may receive one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
According to the forecast, Noida will be generally cloudy on July 28 and 29 with intermittent rain or thundershowers. IMD has issued a yellow alert for both these days, warning of heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Similar weather will continue on July 30 also. The sky will be cloudy and there is a possibility of intermittent rain at some places.
The weather pattern is likely to remain changed in Gurugram also for the next five days. The city will have partly cloudy sky on July 26 with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Similar conditions will prevail on July 27 and 28 and there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places. There will be no major change in the weather even on 29th and 30th July. It will be partly cloudy with intermittent rain likely to continue.
Ghaziabad is expected to have partly cloudy sky on July 26 with no major weather activity expected. Light rain or thundershowers may occur from July 27.
According to IMD, July 28 and 29 will be generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Yellow alert has been issued for both these days and there has been a warning of heavy rain along with thunder and lightning. There is a possibility of cloudy sky and intermittent rain in the city on July 30 also.
IMD has advised people of Delhi-NCR to remain alert especially during heavy rains and thunderstorms. The department has said that during heavy rains, problems like waterlogging, traffic jams and reduced visibility can affect daily activities.
