Jaipur. In the Diwali Sneh Milan ceremony organized at the Police Headquarters on Friday, Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma extended warm wishes to the officers and employees on Diwali and called upon them to discharge their duties with new energy, dedication and confidence.



On this occasion, DGP Sharma said that Diwali is not only a festival of lights but also a symbol of positivity, trust and harmony. He said that no matter how challenging the circumstances may be, if the light of faith and determination keeps burning within us, no darkness can remain permanent. Sharma said that this Diwali is the beginning of a new era for the police organization, because with the new criminal laws implemented in the country, new thinking and new direction have come in the justice system. He said that the purpose of these laws is not just to punish but to make justice more humane, speedy and citizen-centric.
Referring to the recently organized “Nav Vidhan-Nyaya ki Pehchaan” exhibition, the DGP said that the event was not just an exhibition but was a reflection of the preparation, commitment and confidence of the police department. This exhibition proved that when tradition and technology go together, policing becomes more modern and effective.
In his address, Sharma said that the role of police in the society is not only to maintain law and order but to instill a sense of security and trust in the mind of every citizen. He said that the dedication, hard work and sacrifice of the police personnel is the real asset of the organization.
Finally, DGP Sharma personally met the police officers and employees present during the ceremony and extended good wishes. He distributed sweets with his own hands to all the personnel and inquired about the well being of their families.
In this program organized in the main porch of the Police Headquarters, Director General Sanjay Aggarwal, Anil Paliwal, Malini Aggarwal, Additional Director General of Police Vishal Bansal, Bipin Pandey, Dinesh MN, Sanjeev K Narzary, Prashakha Mathur, Hawa Singh Ghumaria, Sachin Mittal, Lata Manoj Kumar and other police officers and a large number of men and women and sanitation workers were present.
