Shenzen, 21 September (). Veng Hongyang of China won the men’s singles title at the World Series Super 750 Badminton Tournament, 2025 BWF China Masters on Sunday. Zia Yifan and Zhang Shuksian won the women’s doubles.
Veng defeated Chinese Taipei’s Lynn Chun-Ai 21-11 21-15.
After the victory, Veng said, “I performed quite well with a clear strategy and mindset. My continuity comes from overall preparation in both life and training.”
According to Xinhua’s report, in the finals of the women’s doubles for about 80 minutes, Jia and Zhang defeated South Korea’s Kim Haay-Jiyong and Kong Hi-Jong 21-19, 16–21, 21-13.
Zia said, “I told Zhang that take it as an Olympic final. If we cannot control the difficulties on the court, we will not have a chance again.”
In the women’s singles, South Korea’s world number 1 player N-Young to successfully defended their title by defeating Han U Han U 21–11, 21–3 with their speed and accuracy.
N is certainly important to win the match, but I think how to enjoy the badminton with which I love, this is the question that I need to consider till now and till the end. “
Han said, “He put a lot of pressure on me at his own pace. I really wanted to score more points, but I could not move forward. I wholeheartedly thank the fans for their enthusiasm and support. I regret that I could not do better.”
South Korea won another win in the men’s doubles. World champions Kim Won-Ho and Sio-Seaun-J defeated India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty 21-19 21-15.
In the mixed doubles, Thailand’s Decapol Puranukroh and Supissara Pevasampran won the title by defeating Malaysian world champions Chen Tang Ji and toh E Vai 21-8, 21-17.
