Ward no. The delegation led by outgoing councilor Bunty Valmiki of 08 (New 12) has submitted a memorandum to Madhusudan Bihani, representative of MLA Jaideep Bihani, demanding immediate reconstruction of the dilapidated condition of Firecracker Factory Road, Miyon Ki Dhani Road and the damaged culvert.
Bunty Valmiki said that the road from Miyon Ki Dhani to Rakesh Tak’s shop via Firecracker Factory Road has been badly damaged during the laying of pipeline for drainage of dirty water. The culvert located on the main road was also completely uprooted by the concerned contractor, due to which the movement of the public has become extremely difficult and risky. At present the situation is such that even walking through this route has become difficult and two-wheeler drivers are facing a lot of problems.
Bunty Valmiki said that this route is a major connectivity route connecting about 24 villages to Sriganganagar city, on which thousands of people travel every day. Hundreds of students reach schools and colleges through this route. Due to the poor condition of the road, there is a constant possibility of accidents and many times drivers have slipped and got injured.
Bunty Valmiki said that the condition of the road and culvert has remained the same for the last six months, but till now no concrete action has been taken by the city council administration and the contractor doing the pipeline work towards its reconstruction. Continuous ignoring of this serious matter of public interest is extremely unfortunate and worrying.
Bunty Valmiki has demanded from Madhusudan Bihani, representative of MLA Jaideep Bihani, that keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the general public, the said road should be rebuilt with immediate effect and the construction work of the damaged culvert should be completed on priority basis, so that thousands of people can get relief from the problems being faced. During this, Alladitta, Junej Kha, Ashok Sumali, Anil Sarwan, Sunil Ghusar, Vijay Dravid, Allarakha etc. were present.
