Hisar. Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh today addressed a press conference organized at Sector-13, Near Dabra Chowk Market, Hisar. On this occasion, District Congress Committee (Rural) Hisar President Brijlal Bahabalpuriya was also specially present with him. During the press conference, Rao Narendra Singh described the Union Budget 2026 as disappointing for the general public of Haryana and the country. He said that this budget has completely failed to solve the ground problems like inflation, unemployment, plight of farmers and rural economy. Neither concrete employment opportunities for the youth are visible in the budget nor any effective plan has come forward to increase the income of farmers. He said that no special package or concrete provision was made in the budget for an agricultural state like Haryana, due to which there is great disappointment among the farmers, laborers and rural class. The government has not given any relief on the rising prices of fertilizers, seeds, diesel and agricultural equipment.
Regarding MNREGA, Rao Narendra Singh said that the Central Government is continuously trying to weaken this important scheme, whereas MNREGA is not just a scheme for the poor and labor class but a right to live life with dignity. He said that the legal guarantee of 100 days’ work is being weakened in practice, wages are not being paid on time and the rights to minimum wages are also under continuous attack.
Along with this, while giving information on the organizational situation, Rao Narendra Singh said that the restructuring of the district organization in Haryana is being done rapidly. Out of the total 33 districts of the state, the executive of 26 districts has been declared and the list of the remaining districts will also be released soon.
He told that earlier the problem was at the block level, in many places two assemblies were merged into a single block, due to which there was difficulty in organizational work. Now, by improving this system, each assembly has been assigned its own block, so that the workers get clear responsibilities and the organization can be strengthened at the grassroots level.
He also said that the list of block presidents will also be released soon. Along with this, the work of strengthening the organization up to the booth level is continuing, so that the policies and programs of the Congress Party can reach the general public directly.
In the end, Rao Narendra Singh said that the fall in the stock market after the budget shows that even investors do not have faith in this budget. Neither the general public nor the industry is satisfied with the economic policies. The Congress Party will continue to struggle to protect the rights of farmers, laborers, youth and the poor class.
On this occasion, former minister Subhash Goyal, former minister Antar Singh Saini, former Barwala candidate Bhupendra Singh Gangwa, senior leader Dharamvir Goyat, Mahila State Vice President Advocate Kamal Sehrawat, KKC State Vice President Geeta Ahuja, former Chairman Sukhbir Singh Doody, former Chairman Krishna Kumar Yadav, District Spokesperson Yogesh Sihag, OBC District President Ajit Yadav, SC General Secretary Sukhbir Nagar, former Seva Dal District President Sandeep Patar, senior leader Daljit Panghal, former Zilla Parishad member Birmati Saroha, senior leaders Amar Gupta, Dinesh Poonia, Kapil Sheoran, Bhup Singh Ghodela, Shyam Lal Sarwate, Ghansyam Verma, Sandeep Sihag Mill Gate were present.
