Mumbai Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several development projects in Mumbai on Wednesday. During this, while addressing the public meeting, he said that today the long wait of Mumbai has ended. Mumbai has now got its second international airport. This airport will play a big role in establishing this region as Asia’s largest connectivity hub. PM Modi said that today Mumbai has also got a completely underground metro, this will make the journey of Mumbai even easier and will also save people’s time. He said that this is a time of countless opportunities for the youth of India. Recently, PM Setu Yojana worth Rs 60,000 crore has been launched to connect many ITIs of the country with the industry. From today, Maharashtra government has launched new programs in hundreds of ITIs and technical schools. With this, children studying in schools will be able to get training in countless new technologies like drones, solar energy, green hydrogen. I wish all the best to the youth of Maharashtra. He said that developed India is one where there is both speed and progress, where public welfare is paramount and government schemes make the life of every citizen easy. For the last 11 years, we have been working tirelessly across the country with this unwavering commitment. The Prime Minister said that Navi Mumbai International Airport is a project which is a reflection of developed India. It is built on the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and its shape is like a lotus flower, that is, it is a living symbol of culture and prosperity. With this new airport, farmers of Maharashtra will also be able to connect with supermarkets in Europe and the Middle East.
Prime Minister Modi said that in 2014, when the country gave me an opportunity, I had said that my dream is that even those wearing slippers can travel by air. Our government started working on this mission seriously and in the last 11 years, airports were built one after the other in the country. Before 2014, there were only 74 airports in our country and today the number of airports has crossed 160. He said that because of the UDAN scheme, lakhs of people have traveled by air for the first time in the last decade and have fulfilled their dream.
He further said that our biggest strength is our youth, hence our policies are focused on employment generation. Large investments help in employment generation. For example, construction of a port like Wadhawan at a cost of Rs 76,000 crore not only boosts the economy but also creates many employment opportunities.
PM Modi said that recently a big Congress leader, who had been the Home Minister of the country during the Congress rule, has made a big revelation in an interview that after the 2008 Mumbai attack, our forces were ready to attack Pakistan. The entire country wanted the same, but under pressure from another country, the Congress government stopped the country’s forces from attacking Pakistan. Congress will have to tell who was the one who took the decision under foreign pressure and played with the sentiments of Mumbai and the country.
He further said that Mumbai is the financial capital of India as well as one of the most vibrant cities of India, hence in 2008 terrorists chose Mumbai city for a major attack, but the Congress government which was in power then gave the message of weakness and surrendered before terrorism.
The Prime Minister said that for us there is nothing more important than the security of the country and its countrymen. Today’s India gives a strong reply, it enters the house and kills. The world has seen this during Operation Sindoor. He said that I urge you to adopt Swadeshi. Say with pride, it is indigenous. This should be the mantra of every home and every market. Every countryman will bring home indigenous goods and give indigenous goods as gifts. With this, the country’s money will remain in the country itself. With this, Indian workers will get work and the youth will get employment. Imagine, how much India’s potential will increase when the whole of India adopts Swadeshi.
