Coordination among armies and ability to adapt to challenges is important: General Upendra Dwivedi

New Delhi. Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi stressed the importance of coordination between different parts of the Army, ability to adapt to challenges and professional military education. He said that the need of the hour is to prepare visionary and capable military leadership to face the challenges of the future. Let us tell you that the Indian Army Chief is on a tour of Australia. He said these things with senior military officers of Australia. He has visited the Australian Defense College. Here he met Major General Martin White, Commander of the College, and Brigadier Lara Troy, Commandant of the Australian War College. During this, issues like military education, leadership development and strategic cooperation were discussed in detail. He is participating in many important meetings here to give new impetus to defense cooperation between the two countries. According to the Indian Army, General Dwivedi addressed the professors and officers undergoing training at the Australian Command and Staff College. He shared his views on the changing global security scenario, emerging strategic challenges and the evolving role of the armed forces. In his address, he stressed the importance of coordination between the armies, ability to adapt to the circumstances and professional military education.
He said that the need of the hour is to prepare visionary and capable military leadership to face the challenges of the future. Earlier he also visited the headquarters of Special Operations Command Australia. There he was given a detailed briefing on the capabilities of Australian Special Forces, joint training arrangements and operational preparedness. Military officials of both the countries discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance joint exercises.
During his visit to Australia, General Dwivedi also visited the headquarters of the Force Command and Second Division. Here discussions were held on strengthening training cooperation, enhancing mutual operational capacity and exploring new collaborative dimensions in the field of emerging and specialized technologies. The detailed presentations and professional interactions highlighted the shared work culture and future-oriented thinking of both the armies.
Defense experts say that this visit has become a symbol of the strengthening defense relations between India and Australia. Both countries have reiterated their commitment to deepen cooperation at the military level and jointly deal with regional and global challenges. This official visit of the Army Chief started on 16 February and will continue till 19 February. During this time, he is participating in different important talks with senior officers of the Australian Defense Forces.
