New Delhi. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is on alert after the car blast near Red Fort metro station in Delhi on Monday evening. In this sequence, DMRC said that Red Fort metro station will remain closed on Wednesday also, while other metro stations will remain functioning as before. DMRC said that this step has been taken for security reasons. Let us tell you that there was a blast in the car outside Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro station on the Violet Line of Delhi Metro. After the incident, on the instructions of the police, Gate No. 1 and 4 of the Red Fort metro station were closed till further orders. Along with this, security checking of passengers traveling on the Violet Line has also been tightened.
According to the information, the explosion in the car was so powerful that the glass of the entry gate of the metro was also broken. After this incident, entry at the metro stations around the Red Fort was closed for some time.
According to sources, main roads, markets and metro routes are being continuously monitored through CCTV cameras. Orders for real time monitoring have been given from the control room. Apart from this, police also have a special eye on social media. A warning has been given of strict action against anyone spreading rumors or misleading information.
Delhi and Noida Police have appealed that people should not panic, but immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity, unknown object, or suspicious person. Security agencies are active in the city and police vigil is being continuously increased. Officials say that there will be no laxity in security arrangements. Intensive checking will continue in major crowded areas in the coming days, and patrolling teams will be in constant movement. At present, there is a situation of alertness in Noida and the police is completely focused on security.
