Delhi Park controversy: Why didn't you learn Hindi? First threatened African citizen, now BJP councilor gave clarification

BJP councilor Renu Chaudhary has come under criticism for talking to an African-American in a public park in Delhi. A video of this incident is going viral on social media, in which she is seen asking the foreigner to learn Hindi. The councilor has given clarification after the video.

Renu Chaudhary says that the African-American has been living in the area for about 15 years and gives private football coaching. According to him, about 20 African-Americans were present in the park on the day of the video. The councilor said that most of the MCD employees do not know English, while the coaches, despite being there for many years, do not know basic Hindi, which makes communication difficult and leads to misunderstandings.

She also claimed that she had received complaints of drug trafficking in the area, and went to the park to investigate. Renu Chaudhary said that her intention was not to scare anyone, but to advise to learn Hindi to make conversation easier.

“If you are taking money here, you should also learn to speak Hindi.”

This video of Renu Chaudhary is three days old. He has posted this video on his official Instagram account. In the video, she is seen threatening a foreign national. Chaudhary told the foreign national that if he did not learn Hindi within a month, he would not be allowed to park his car. The councilor also said, “If you are taking money here then you should also learn to speak Hindi.”
